Tamara Miller is a Los Angeles based Composer, Music Producer, Singer-Songwriter for Film, TV, Multimedia.
She began her music career in her hometown of Toronto, Canada. Taking piano lessons at the age of six, she started exploring the world of songwriting and composition. Tamara performed her music across several Toronto venues including Free Times Cafe and the legendary Cameron House. She recorded her first EP in Toronto and was thrilled to have the title track "60 Seconds" featured on the hit teen drama series, Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Tamara recently came to Los Angeles via Austin, Texas where she spent several years performing her music in the live music capital of the world. As a Singer-Songwriter, she was very active in the Austin music scene performing on Fox 7 Austin Morning News and in many of Austin’s music venues including One World Theatre, The Parish, Mozart's, Waterloo Records at Austin Airport, and the Belmont.
Throughout Tamara's Bachelor of Music Program at York University, she began learning how to record and produce her own music. She especially enjoyed the editing process. Recently, she composed the Original Score & Sound Design for the Documentary Short Film "Finding My Edge." The Film continues to showcase at several Film Festivals in 2023. Tamara was awarded with "Outstanding Achievement" in Sound Design at Indie Short Fest in Los Angeles. Her scores have premiered at several film festivals including SCREEN ATX (Austin), Palm Springs Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Hollywood Shorts Fest, LAFA, Indie Short Fest.
Tamara specializes in composing piano-driven introspective & emotional heartfelt compositions, dreamy cinematic pop, singer-songwriter ballads, drama & tension cues. She is a Hollywood Music in Media Award Nominee. Her music is heard daily on TV, Radio, Promos, Films, and Trailers. Some of her recent placements include Saturday Night Live, The Young and the Restless, The Bachelor, Ads for Dignity Health, Tom & Jerry Christmas Promo (Warner Bros.), MLB & ESPN sports documentaries and much more. Her music has been signed to music libraries in the US, Canada, Australia, Europe including MPATH/APM Music (SONY/Universal) and Warner Chappell Production Music.
