Tamara Miller is a Los Angeles based Composer, Producer, Pianist, and Singer-Songwriter. Tamara's music can be heard on numerous television shows and films including Degrassi: The Next Generation, Saturday Night Live, Tom & Jerry Movie Trailer (Warner Bros.), Global National News, The Young and the Restless, Single All The Way (Netflix Christmas Film), ETalk, Fox Sports, MLB, BBC, Strictly Come Dancing, Hallmark Christmas, Blue Peter (The longest running children's programme in the world!), The Bachelor among many others.
She is a classically trained pianist and began her music career in her hometown of Toronto, Canada where the wintery seasons were dedicated to indoor cozy songwriting sessions. She specializes in composing uplifting & introspective piano-driven compositions, singer-songwriter acoustic pop ballads, soaring dream pop melodies, and drama & tension cues. Her music has been signed to production music libraries in Los Angeles, London, Australia, New York, and Toronto.
As an industry speaker, Tamara was invited to be a panelist at NAMM 2020: "Composing Production Music for TV.” Most recently, she was a panelist on the NWC Webinar (Canadian Musician Magazine) "Getting into the Business of Production Music." She has also received recognition for her music in several award categories. She was a semi-finalist for her song "You Made Me See The Light" in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC). Miller's Pop song "Stay" was nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA).
Tamara came to Los Angeles via Austin, Texas where she was thrilled to be living in the Live Music Capital of the World. She showcased her original songs on Fox 7 Austin Morning News and performed in many of Austin’s legendary music venues including One World Theatre, The Parish, and the Belmont.
Miller is currently working on various production projects and scoring music for Reality TV. Everything from sweet melodic compositions to industrial thriller albums and everything in between. She is about to start scoring a short film (July 2022) that will inspire and reveal our deepest strength and determination.
Tamara graduated with a Degree in Music from York University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. In addition to composing, Tamara loves the adventures with her little maltese Winston.
